Building of Garden City business unit starts November

Garden City will kick off the development of its Sh2.7 billion business complex in November under the management of regional construction projects specialist, MML.

MML director Robert Gichohi said the project proprietors, Kasarani Investments Holdings, have been encouraged by the ongoing uptake of its phase one and two housing developments comprising 215 units.

The apartments were sold for between Sh25 million and Sh35 million while the standalone villas went for Sh43 million each.

“The first phase comprising 76 apartments is fully sold while the second phase with 139 units is 80 per cent sold,” he said.
“Some companies, among them a local telco, have committed to taking up space at the planned development.”

MML, he said, will use the project to promote sustainable living where energy and water will be efficiently used, saving tenants up to 40 per cent in utility bills.

The business park will see the 23.53 acres reserved for the development subdivided into 10 plots that will accommodate two office blocks, a six-storeyed facility and a six-storeyed hospital.
