Karen hosts Nairobi's newest shopping mall
A consortium of investors with a wealth of experience in various sectors – energy and petroleum, engineering, beverages and residential property development – has begun construction of Nairobi’s latest retail property in Karen.
Dubbed The Hub, the development is set on 20 acres in the affluent Karen suburb, 14 kilometres from the CBD and near the Southern by-pass.
Construction will be executed in two phases, with the first phase comprising shops, restaurants, office space, medical facilities and a wellness centre. The second phase will feature a fully serviced hotel, conference facilities and residential space.
Construction of the first phase started in July and is scheduled for completion by end of 2015.
