42 Countries at BUILDEXPO Kenya
The 19th BUILDEXPO, East Africa's biggest event on the Building & Construction industry is to be held at a new venue from June 4 to 6 this year. Seeking more exhibition and parking space, the trade event will be hosted at the Carnivore Grounds. According to the organizers, Expogroup, the event is already 30% bigger this year presenting exhibitors from 42 countries booked already.
" We are overwhelmed with the response this year on both the international and local fronts." said Divine Anella, the Public Relations manager for the event.
" We are very positively expecting a much higher flow of visitors as well this year. Having changed the venue, we will have much more parking space which was missing at the KICC, the previous venue ", she added.
The 19th Buildexpo Kenya 2016 is bringing massive pavilions from China, India, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Iran, Egypt, Netherlands and several other countries.
As far as local Kenyan companies are concerned, the participation is again almost double of last year. Sponsors include names such as Elite Tools Ltd, Apex Steel, Technoconstruct Kenya Ltd, Nirmal Fabricators Limited, Car & General (K) Ltd, Abyssinia Group of Industries, Rock Plant Kenya Ltd, Mantrac Kenya Ltd, Europa Infrastructure Technologies (E.a) Limited etc. Other major players from the industry include Tata Africa Holdings, Agro Industrial Tools Ltd, New Sky Africa Ltd, United Mining Industries, Eefa Ceram, Jantsa, Cgm Srl, Faststeel, Recosine, Devashish Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd etc.
The event is suppoprted by Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban Development, The Board of Registration of Architects & Quantity Surveyors of Kenya, Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mining Engineers Society of Kenya, Kenya Federation of Master Builders etc.
