nakuru Naivasha town will benefit from a Sh500 million biogas power plant. The Gorge Farm Energy Park is expected to produce 2.8 megawatts in the next two months.
The project will be using vegetable crop residues in power production. Project operations manager Mike Nolan said it is owned by Kenyan investors, who have provided $6 million for it. Nolan said apart from the power, the plant will produce fertiliser and carbon dioxide, which will be sold to farmers.
