More Than 19 Companies To Represent 'Saudi Made' At BUILDEXPO Africa 2024

The Saudi Export Development Authority “SAUDI EXPORTS”, under the "Saudi Made" identity, will participate in the BUILDEXPO Africa 2024 , scheduled to be held in Kenya from June 5-7. The Saudi pavilion will feature more than 19 leading national companies in the construction sector, showcasing their competitive products at one of the most prominent specialized exhibitions in Africa.

 
This participation by “SAUDI EXPORTS” marks its strategic efforts aimed at promoting the brand of Saudi exports in priority export markets and enhancing their contribution to the gross domestic product.
 
Consequently, “SAUDI EXPORTS” is charting a course towards the African continent based on the diverse and growing needs of its markets and future aspirations. It harnesses all its capabilities to deliver national products to targeted African markets and seeks to increase the volume of Saudi non-oil exports to Africa.
 
In this regard, the official spokesperson for “SAUDI EXPORTS" Mr.Thamer Al-Mishrafi, highlighted the importance of the African continent as an export destination where Saudi products hold a prominent position among African consumers due to their quality and competitiveness. This is grounded in the deep historical, commercial, and economic ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its African counterparts. Hence, the participation in the BUILDEXPO today is part of several promotional efforts for national products and services, focusing on showcasing the quality and competitiveness of Saudi industries with their leading quality and distinctive diversity, aiming to expand the reach of "Saudi Made" brand to global markets, including the promising African markets.
 
It is worth noting that the volume of Saudi non-oil exports to Africa during the period from 2019 to 2023 exceeded 132 billion SAR. The petrochemicals and polymers sector topped the list of exporting sectors, followed by the construction materials sector and then the packaging sector. 
 
The highest exported products were polypropylene, polyethylene, and fertilizers. South Africa was among the top importing countries of Saudi products, with a total value of 11.91 billion SAR, also Kenya had a total imports value of 7 billion SAR, and Nigeria with a total imports value of 5.82 billion SAR.
