Angola: Minister Unveils Road Infrastructure

Luanda - The Angolan Construction minister, Waldemar Pires Alexandre, is expected in central Huambo and south-eastern Cuando Cubango provinces on Friday to inaugurate the roads that connect the localities of Huambo and Mungo, and Menongue and Rio Longa.

This is expressed in a note released by the sector delivered to Angop on Thursday.

The source stressed that the visit is part of the last step of a series of activities that led to the inaugurations of more than 540 kilometres of road across the country, in the light of the commemoration of the 12th anniversary of peace in Angola.

Under the same programme, a 140-meter bridge over Zambezi river was inaugurated in eastern Moxico province to ensure connection with the neighbouring Zambia republic.

Other roads include those of 135 kilometres linking Luena/Lucusse, 106 kilometres between Luena/Dala, 43ilometres connecting Cacuso/Calandula, 10 kilometres linking Necuto/Conde Malonde, 31 (Buco Zau/Necuto), 84 (Negage/Âlfandega) and 105 ( Negage/Rio Cochila).
