Nigeria: Aso to Build 550 Houses for Borno Civil Servants

Aso Savings and Loans Plc in partnership with Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria will build 550 houses in Maiduguri in Borno State for civil servants.

Managing Director of Aso Savings and Loans Alhaji Hassan Musa Usman said in Maiduguri when he called on Governor Kashim Shettima that the mortgages for civil servants will last for a minimum period of 25 years.

He said the company will partner with the state government to meet the housing need of the people as a branch of the mortgage bank will be established in Maiduguri.


Governor Shettima in his remark said the state will soon commence paying 2.5 percent of workers' salaries into the National Housing Fund (NHF) to build 500 housing units in Maiduguri.
