Angola: Construction Works of Thermal Station to End in February 2013

Ondjiva - The construction works of Ondjiva thermal station in southern Cunene province, which started in July 2012, will be concluded in February 2013.
 
This was said to Angop on Wednesday by the director of the National Electricity Company (ENE), Silvestre Olímpio.
 
According to him, the thermal station will represent an added value for power supply to Ondjiva city, provided that the province is supplied through the neighbouring country of Namibia.
 
He said that the thermal station has the capacity to produce 10 Megawatts, with three generators.
 
The construction works of the second line with capacity to produce 132 kilowatts from Onumu, Namibia, were already concluded, to increase the current 4 megawts to 10.
